Seagal Trapped in a Remake

Steven Seagal is eyeing to star in the remake of critically acclaimed Serbian film The Trap. Nu Millennium head honcho Avi Lerner announced Thursday that Seagal will star and executive produce the remake of Srdan Golubovic’s crix fave, and the company is looking to attach either Michael Olowitz or Don E. Fauntleroy for a late March start date. In this remake, Seagal will star as an ex-CIA agent turned construction engineer whose child needs a heart transplant. Since he can’t raise the funds for the surgery a group of shady investors hire him to murder their competitor. The pic will lens in Bulgaria and Hong Kong. „We will try to raise the ante in movie violence and bring Seagal back to hard-R roots“, boasts Lerner. Seagal is repped by CAA.
